Congestion Charging i Greater Copenhagen Area

The Municipal Forum has worked out a road pricing proposal based on a toll ring in Copenhagen.

If the proposal is realised it will reduce the level of congestion, improve air quality and lower discharged emmisions:

• Traffic in central Copenhagen is reduced with app. 25 % an in the Copenhagen Area with app. 4 %
• A revenue of 1,5 b dkr (App. 200 mio €) every year to be invested in public transport, cycling facilities and infrastructure inprovements.
• Particle pollution, nitrogen oxides and CO2 emmisions is lowered significantly
